If looking for an nice scenic place to ride this summer that is close to home, I highly recommend taking highway 66 through East Jordan to highway 119 North to Cross Village. Highway 66 is a nice wide road that is biker friendly, with lots of hills and curves to keep you moving. Once you hit Jordan Valley the ride through there is just beutiful, the landscape will almost take your breath away. Then as you head out on to North 119 you will be riding along lake Michigan. You will go through a few nice little towns. Yet one of the better things between those towns they usally have places where you can park and go out to the Lake and take in the sights. As you get outside of Harbor Springs 119 turns in to a small 2 lane road with lots of hills and curves that will keep you on your clutch but trust me it is all worth it as you drive down this up beat road that bikers like to call the tunnel of tress because the trees are just engulfing the road over head and as you look to one side you can see the lake and to the other beutiful homes. Once you get in to Cross Village there is a wonderful resturant that is called Leggs Inn. They are biker friendly and have great food, along with an outdoor eating area that over looks the lake. Once you are done taking one of Michigans most impressive bike routes you are only about fifteen minutes from the Mackinaw bridge which is another fun ride all in it's own.
